ABOUT US
Precision Mental Health and Consulting Services
Precision Mental Health and Consulting Services was founded with one simple mission: to provide compassionate, patient-centered mental health care that truly makes a difference
Led by Dr. McKenzie, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), the practice combines clinical expertise with empathy and understanding. With extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing psychiatric conditions, Dr. McKenzie ensures that every client receives individualized care tailored to their unique needs.

Dr. McKenzie’s path to psychiatry was shaped by her early experience working in neurology, where she cared for patients with complex medical conditions. During that time, she observed that many individuals experiencing psychiatric symptoms were often misunderstood, minimized, or not given the same level of clinical attention as other medical conditions. Recognizing the impact this had on patient outcomes, she chose to transition into psychiatry to better advocate for and treat these individuals with the care, respect, and clinical rigor they deserve.
In addition to her clinical background, Dr. McKenzie brings a deeply personal perspective to her work. As a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, she understands firsthand the challenges families face when navigating the healthcare system, advocating for appropriate support, and finding providers who truly listen. This lived experience shapes a compassionate, patient-centered approach grounded in collaboration, patience, and respect.
At Precision Mental Health, care is never one-size-fits-all. The focus is on thoughtful medication management, clear communication, and building a therapeutic relationship where patients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their journey.
Education and Clinical Training
Dr. McKenzie’s educational journey reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence and lifelong learning. She began her academic training at the University of the West Indies, Mona, where she built a solid foundation in the health sciences. She later advanced her nursing and psychiatric training at Walden University, further developing her expertise in mental health care.
Most recently, Dr. McKenzie earned her doctoral degree from Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, strengthening her clinical, leadership, and evidence-based practice skills.
Following her formal education, she completed a post-master’s residency program at a federally qualified health center in Rhode Island. This intensive clinical training provided advanced experience in psychiatric evaluation and significantly strengthened her psychopharmacology knowledge and medication management skills, particularly in treating diverse and underserved populations.
